John Lewis & Partners Sale - clearance and half price edit

A big summer sale started last night at John Lewis & Partners with some really good clearance offers so I’m getting this week’s post out to you early. I can see things are disappearing fast and so I’ll pick out my highlights and then leave you to look through the rest in your own time. There are particularly good offers on some of our favourite brands including Boden where you can find items that have actually been sold out for ages on their main site and they’re now in the sale. There are big discounts on Baukjen and Hush as well as JL&P’s own brands – and that’s just fashion. It’s also a great time to stock up on things like new towels so I’ll run through a few home offers too. Let’s go – my John Lewis & Partners Sale – clearance and half price edit.

Fashion

One of the best things you can buy in any sale is a classic that you’ll wear for years. This simple pink cotton shirt makes a skin flattering change from white and it’s now half price.

Slightly smarter than jersey joggers but just as comfortable these chambray ones are great for a relaxed day and they’re also half price.

Here’s an example of Boden – this one’s now only available in smaller sizes but if there’s something you’ve had your eye on, it’s worth going into the category (dresses for example) then filtering by brand so that you only see Boden. Quite a few things are half price and it will be ages before they reach that level of discount in Boden’s own sale. The same goes for any other brand you love too.

For an easy to wear, on trend look this navy and ivory dress is almost half price and there’s stock in all sizes as I type.

Or for a lighter coloured version there’s this one, great for a British summer day.

These are the best bretons on the market, especially as they’re made from the best organic cotton. If you have a gap for a yellow one be quick – I have them in lots of colours and have learned to size down for a closer fit.

One of my all-time favourite shirts is half price – I wear this so much

Don’t forget to look off season too, there are some great offers on coats. I had my eye on this all through spring, it would be a great way to lift colourblocked outfits.

And this simple shower resistant parka with its flattering dipped, curved hem at the back is half price – available in navy or black

As a lover of JL&P cashmere I was surprised to see that some of the classic jumpers are half price – there must be colours that they’re clearing including some lovely shades of blue.

Accessories

Moving on to lingerie, JL&P has become my first stop, particularly with its own brand ranges. I have this bra and I swear you’d think it was from Agent Provocateur, especially with the detail at the back. A great choice for a date night, it’s half price (and it’s comfortable too).

For something more relaxed you could choose this pretty bralette which is also available in almond.

Another piece I’m finding invaluable now that the sun’s come out is a pair of gym shorts – especially as my gym seem to be reluctant to put the air con on so we’re operating in a sweat box.

Moving on to accessories, lots of you have been asking about the tan bag I’m using a lot which sits so perfectly on my shoulder and nestles under my arm. It was a Christmas present and it’s sold out in tan but it’s available in classic black from the JL sale.

When I’m not using that I’m mainly using oversized phone cases now because they can take my phone, a lipstick and a pair of glasses at a push which is all I need. I bought this silver one for the festival we went to a couple of weeks ago and it’s now almost half price (grrr!). Other colours available

And if you’re going out with a chance of rain – to a festival for example this would be a great half price choice

A new discovery for me this summer has been these wine glasses for outdoor use, we keep a set down on the decking because they don’t wobble over as easily as a stem glass

And I’m so sorry to mention it but I’m surrounded by it at the moment so it’s top of mind. There are lots of good gifts that you could stock up on for Christmas – or birthdays of course! This is reduced to clear. You’ll find all kinds of different things here.

Thank you for your kind words about mum-in-law last week, she’s still in hospital where she’s had another fall. We’re no nearer to getting any answers but we’re ploughing on and trying to make sure she’s going to be safe when she’s discharged – which is something the doctors are very keen to do. I never thought I’d be grateful for the knowledge that came with the battle I had to fight when my parents were in this situation – but now I am.

We’re hoping for a quiet weekend in the sunshine – hasn’t this week been great? I’m in a rush today so I’ll leave you to it but I’ll be back next week, maybe on an unusual day again so keep your eyes posted – and I hope you find something you really want in the sale.
