The Pyjama Fairy – a helping hand while the Cyber Monday offers are on

The Pyjama Fairy – a helping hand while the Cyber Monday offers are on

Hello – it’s a quick post from me today because the Black Friday offers have run on into Cyber Monday so I thought I’d bring my Pyjama Fairy post forward. If you’re a longstanding reader you’ll know that the Pyjama Fairy always comes to our house on Christmas Eve while we’re out at the panto. Even now, as soon as we get back the boys regress and race each other upstairs to see what’s been left on their beds. They all say that this is the moment when Christmas really kicks off.

There’s something lovely about going to bed in new pyjamas when you know everything’s done – and if it isn’t then it’s too late to worry about it anyway so you may as well just relax. For the last few years we’ve woken up before the boys on Christmas morning and I love the absolute peace. There are no cars or voices to be heard outside but as we watch through the window, we can see lights popping on all round the village as families gather to start their day.

I’m getting ahead of myself – let’s get back to new pyjamas which can be one of those things that are hard to justify. Unless you’re going away with friends or perhaps going into hospital, I find that you often just kick along with what you have. Despite that, they’re an important part of my wardrobe and in winter there’s nothing I like more than getting home and changing into a fresh pair of PJs. Rather than buying a matching set, I always mix and match. That way four pairs can soon become sixteen (if my maths is right). So just in case the Pyjama Fairy needs a little guidance in your house, here are some ideas. There’s a little bit of repetition in these sets just to show you what I mean.

The Pyjama Fairy’s red theme

Pyjama Fairy

London pyjamas – currently 30% off, a lovely vintage print with a pink velvet bow

Red top with velvet trim – I have this and the velvet trim is much nicer than it looks in the picture

Star pyjamas –  currently 25% off if you’re quick, from the company that was originally launched as the Pyjama Room…!

Red tartan with gathered ankle – These are perfect if you don’t like your pyjama legs ruckling up during the night

Deep red top – a simple cotton henley

Blue and green tartan pyjamas – the classic winter tartan

The Pyjama Fairy’s navy theme

Pyjama Fairy

Jersey star pyjamas – currently 20% off – I often prefer sleeping in jersey, it’s just so comfortable

Navy velvet trimmed top – the blue version of the red

Blackwatch tartan pyjamas – great value cotton bottoms

Pink and blue check pyjamas – currently 25% off – a cheery, feminine check

Blue cosy knit jersey top – this is a viscose mix which has been developed for a soft touch texture

Scatter stars soft cotton bottoms – a wide leg star print in soft 100% viscose

The Pyjama Fairy’s neutral theme

Pyjama Fairy

Snow leopard print bottoms – these are an amazing price – if you feel you can’t justify a pair you may be able to allow yourself these

Gold heart pyjamas – or these, another great price although avoid biological washing powder which will remove the gold

Metallic star top – currently 20% off, extra sparkle to sleep in

Sky blue spot pyjamas – currently 30% off, finished with a grosgrain trim

London pyjamas – currently 30% off, as above, just to show how a different coloured top can make them feel different to wear

The Pyjama Fairy’s pink theme

Pyjama Fairy

Star pyjamas –  currently 25% off, more playing around with colourways, tonal pink rather than clashing red

Pink dolman top – currently 25% off, a great shape for relaxing in

Jersey star pyjamas – currently 20% off, as above

Pink tile print pyjamas – elegant loungewear for a chic look

Pink cotton top – great price and 100% breathable cotton

Pink and blue check pyjamas – currently 25% off, as above

The Pyjama Fairy for men

It’s difficult to find interesting pyjamas for men but the Pyjama Fairy can always be relied on to track them down.

The Pyjama Fairy’s quirky theme

Pyjama Fairy

Green tartan pyjamas – currently 25% off, a classic check updated in this season’s number one colour

Bee print pyjamas – a subtle print with a twist

Space themed pyjamas – a chic pyjama for all the closet Star Wars fans out there

Rainbow stripe long john bottoms – currently 50% off, these just made me smile!

Navy long-sleeved henley – a simple top to balance the jazzy bottoms

The Pyjama Fairy’s neutral theme for men

Pyjama Fairy

Ski-ing sloth jersey pyjamas – there’s a real sloth trend going on this winter – and llamas too… sloths seem more appropriate for pyjamas though.

Grey check slim fit pyjamas – it isn’t easy to find tapered pyjama bottoms but here’s a pair

Ralph Lauren waffle pyjama bottoms – currently 20% off – a luxury option now at a reasonable price while the offers are still running

Blue oversized check pyjamas – comfortable lumberjack style

Grey long sleeved organic cotton top – affordable organic cotton for anyone who watched the Stacey Dooley programme

I hope you have a chance to treat yourselves before the offers come to an end. I’m heading off to London now for a few days so I’m not sure when I’ll be posting next but at least it should be my last trip down there for this year. After that I’ll be able to catch up with all of the comments and of course next weekend the fun begins. It was so cold that we lit our first open fires of the winter on Saturday and now there’s a whiff of woodsmoke in every room. It feels very cosy, all we need now is a bit of sparkle and glitter… tick tock!
