- the best-selling styles at John Lewis

As the heatwave hits us (even in the North!) it feels like exactly the right time for a summer sale. My Midlifechic Boutique is now open with lots of options ranging from a size 10 – a size 14 (sound familiar?). I’m also clearing the bags and baskets that we used to sell, they’re taking up too much space in our office storeroom and they need to go.

Lots of clothing items are brand new with tickets still attached because I simply don’t have the opportunities to wear everything that I’m allowed to keep from my brand edits. There’s nothing wrong with any of the pieces I’m selling, I just can’t wear them all and so a couple of times a year I have to challenge myself to let things go. I could, of course, sell them on Vinted but I prefer you to be the people who benefit. Over the last few years I’ve supported Blood Cancer UK and it’s great to see the trials that are going on there at the moment with great progress being made. As I mentioned last week, this time I’ll be making a donation to the MS Society in support of a young and very much loved member of my family.

As always, there are a few conditions that I need to make clear:

  • Please remember that even if something is in your basket, it’s still available for other people to buy – it isn’t yours until you have completed checkout. If there’s something you really want it’s worth checking out quickly – any extra postage payments that we receive will go to charity.
  • Clothes are clearly marked as either ‘lightly worn’ or ‘brand new with tickets’
  • The brands know that I sometimes hold a charity sale and are happy to support it – I’d like to thank all of the ones who work so closely with me
  • Clothes are sold as seen, I am not offering returns and have kept the prices low with this in mind.
  • Refunds will only be given if a product is found to be damaged or the description was wrong.
  • Products have been listed as accurately as possible – please remember I am a human, not a full scale retailer.
  • If more than 5 items are ordered, I may contact you to ask for extra postage. This will depend simply on the weight of the items, if they fall within the courier’s weight band, I will not charge extra.
  • I’m happy to send items internationally but please bear in mind that you may be charged customs duty in your country. To this date it’s only happened once because the parcels are hand wrapped and addressed so they don’t look commercial – but you never know.
  • A donation will be made to The MS Society at the end of the sale.
  • I will start dispatching everything w/c 23rd June – please let me know if you need an item urgently.

I think that’s everything, thank you to you and the brands that have supported the sale. Have a lovely weekend and I’ll be back next Friday

The sale is now live here.
