As promised, today I’m bringing you the follow up to my trial of Perfect7® Renewal Advanced skin supplements which contain Ceramosides™, proven to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles in 60 days. The day after returning from our long holiday in Turkey, I headed back down to London to have my skin retested by a skin analyst.

It was good to catch up with the other bloggers who were taking part in the trial and we were all on tenterhooks to find out the results. Before having our individual tests with the skin analyst, we enjoyed a session with Abigail James.

(Abigail with her book: Love Your Skin)

Abigail is a leading international facialist. Having trained in both the food industry and then as a beauty therapist she has a firm belief that what we ingest makes a significant difference to the condition of our skin. Because the unique ingredient in Perfect 7 is ceramisodes TM, the focus of her session was the specific role that ceramides play in the skin’s appearance.

Skin ceramides are lipids that make up 50% of the skin’s moisture barrier. So they’re like mortar between the bricks in your skin’s wall but as we get older, our ceramide level decreases. The result can be visibly drier, rougher skin, wrinkles, and visible signs of dehydration. Abigail also explained that your skin renews roughly every six weeks which is why it’s important to allow any change you make in diet or topically applied skincare six weeks to work before you assess the results.

So, given that this is the first beauty supplement of its kind in the UK containing CeramosidesTM that can be taken orally rather than topically, let’s see if it made any difference after the 60 day period that I took it for. Here’s a rather alarming before and after shot of the skin near the hairline at my temple.

Even though I’d come straight off a four and a half hour flight after nearly three weeks in sunshine drinking wine and eating ice cream, there was a 47.73% reduction in the appearance of my skin’s roughness and a 31.13% reduction in the appearance of wrinkles.

So, there you have it. Scientific evidence is more compelling than just me saying my skin feels better – even though it does. I have also noticed that my nails are stronger and my tan lasted for longer than usual. Have I continued to buy Perfect7® Renewal Advanced? Yes – it usually costs £39.99 for a 30 day supply which contains 30x Ceramoside capsules, 30x Omega-3 capsules and 30xMultivitamin and mineral tablets, but I’ve found that there’s often an offer on at Boots including extra savings if you buy a six or twelve month supply.

Disclosure: “The results are in” was written in collaboration with SevenSeas however I was happy to take part in the project knowing that the testing was done by an independent skin assessor. Wrinkle reduction: Skin Photography before and after 60 days. Each pack contains a 30-day supply. Food supplements do not substitute a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle.
